The journey to Whiteinch takes 25 minutes, and the bus stops within a few minutes walk of the Whiteinch Centre. This service will also take you back to the city centre. SUBWAY www.spt.co.uk/subway/The subway has stops all around the city. In terms of getting from the city centre to the Whiteinch Centre, city centre stations include St. Enochs, Buchanan Street and St Georges Cross, and the closest subway station to the Whiteinch Centre is Partick station. The subway has two lines, the inner and outer circles. To get from St Enochs, Buchanan Street or St Georges Cross to Partick, take the inner circle. If returning to a city centre station from Partick, take the outer circle. Partick subway station is about a mile from the Whiteinch Centre, and can be walked to in approximately twenty minutes; a return ticket will cost you £2.40, and the subway operates every 5 minutes between 06.30 - 23.00 Monday to Friday. TRAINS http://www.thetrainline.com/There are two central train stations in Glasgow; Glasgow Central Station, and Glasgow Queen Street Station. Both of these city centre stations run services to Jordanhill station and Partick station, each of which is about a mile from the Whiteinch Centre, and can be walked in twenty minutes. The trains run very regularly, approximately every ten minutes, though it was worth noting that services to Jordanhill are slightly less frequent than those to Partick. A single ticket will cost £1.50, while a return is usually £1.60. |
