Aline Lidwell

Whilst training toAline Lidwellteach a leader prophesied that Aline would be a ‘hope filled geography teacher’ who would inspire people to seek the creator and the redemption of His creation. This passion for the creator, for creation and for creativity has followed her life and ministry. Her Cathedral is outdoors in the mountains, on the windswept moors or along the shore. It is here that the spirit speaks life into her being. Her heart is to see people encounter God and day by day continue to be transformed by His love as she is. In her art, Aline loves to capture the light as it plays with colour in the landscape. She believes that our primary call is to ‘Glorify God and enjoy Him’ and that when we do we become the light displaying His God colours that draws the nations to us and through us to Him. This is the theme found in her book, art, teaching and life. She is currently an intern with Theresa Dedmon at Bethel Church, CA advancing the Kingdom through creativity and the arts.

Workshop – Using Creativity to Advance the Kingdom!

The arts are one of the key languages of our age. A picture can speak a thousand words and a simple melody touch the deepest recesses of our hearts. It is a well known fact within the arts community that creative expression allows us to transcend this world and embrace a spiritual realm beyond it.

The arts are like a modern day tongue. In and of themselves they do not make God come, but when we partner with the Holy Spirit our creative expression creates a place for Him to show up. We are made in the image of the creator and are creative beings, just like our Dad! This workshop is for EVERYONE especially those who do not think they are artistic. The workshop will help you to see how you can partner your creative expression (visual arts, drama, dance, music etc) with the holy spirit to bring salvation, freedom, healing and prophetic ministry to others.

Aline will be sharing testimonies from her experience travelling with Bethel teams in Norway, Rwanda, Ecuador, in the US and UK as well as from her time working in Whiteinch with the Church of Scotland. Students will be trained, equipped and activated as they encounter God, partner with Him and use creative expression to minister to one another and then to people on the streets. We hope students will leave confident that God wants to and does encounter people with His love when they go and that they have a creative tool bag they can use as they partner with Him in this.
